Lincoln County Library Foundation

The Lincoln County Library Foundation was established in 1979 to support and strengthen the Lincoln County Library System. The Foundation works to secure gifts, endowments, and memorials, sponsor fundraising efforts, and provide financial support for library facilities, services, and programs. It also responsibly manages and administers all donated and earned funds.

The Foundation is organized exclusively for educational purposes and operates as a tax-exempt nonprofit under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors is comprised of the same members and officers as the Lincoln County Library System Board of Trustees. Foundation business is conducted immediately following regular Library Board meetings, or at other times as needed. Quorum requirements for Foundation meetings mirror those of the Library Board of Trustees.

The mission of the Lincoln County Library Foundation is to enhance and enrich the quality and range of library services, materials and programs of the Lincoln County Library System for today and for the future.

All personal and corporate donations made to the Foundation are tax-deductible.

Wyoming State Legistlature "Endowment Challenge" - Completed September 2016

We are proud to share that the Lincoln County Library Foundation successfully met its Endowment Challenge goal in 2016. Through this initiative, the Wyoming State Legislature provided a valuable opportunity for county libraries by setting aside $12.1 million in matching funds to support the creation and growth of library endowments.

The Lincoln County Library Foundation qualified for a two-to-one match of up to $343,913—and we are pleased to have fully reached that goal. These endowment funds continue to provide lasting support for our library system and are managed by the Wyoming Community Foundation.

Today, the Foundation continues to welcome donations to help sustain and enhance library services for our communities.
