Are you reading Olive Kitteridge?
The 2009 Pulitizer Prize for Fiction was awarded to “Olive Kitteridge,” by Elizabeth Strout.
“This collection of 13 short stories set in small-town Maine packs a cumulative emotional wallop, bound together by polished prose and by Olive, the title character, blunt, flawed and fascinating.”–The Pulitzer Prizes, Columbia University
Lincoln County has chosen Olive Kitteridge for the 2009 “One Book, One Community” event.
“One Book, One Community” encourages Lincoln County residents to read and discuss the same book during the fall of 2009. Free paperback copies are available at the Thayne Branch Library and an audiobook version is available for check-out.
Thayne Branch Library will hold their community discussion on Monday, November 9 at 6:30pm in the Thayne Library. Hope to see you there!
