…taking the Lincoln County libraries to the next step

The Wyoming State Legislature provided a wonderful opportunity for county libraries when they set aside $12.1 million in matching funds to encourage establishment and growth of library endowments.  The Lincoln County Library System is eligible to receive a two-to-one match up to a maximum of $213,043.

When libraries statewide have raised $2.3 cumulatively, each of the state’s 23 county library systems will receive an additional $100,000.  At the end of the fundraising period, June 30, 2013, Lincoln County libraries could have an endowment of over $700,000.  The endowment fund will be administered by the Wyoming Community Foundation.

The Lincoln County Library Foundation accepts online donations.  Click to contribute via PayPal.  Contributions received before June 30, 2013, will be applied toward the Endowment Fund unless otherwise indicated.
