Library Endowment Fund Challenge
…taking the Lincoln County libraries to the next step
Updated December 26, 2009
Endowment Fund Total: $78,881
Donations: $31,123 Match: $47,758 Thank you!
The 2008 Wyoming State Legislature provided a wonderful opportunity for county libraries when they set aside $9.1 million in matching funds to encourage establishment and growth of library endowments. The Lincoln County Library System is eligible to receive a two-to-one match up to a maximum of almost $150,000.
When libraries statewide have raised $2.3 cumulatively, each of the state’s 23 county library systems will receive an additional $100,000. At the end of the fundraising period, June 30, 2013, Lincoln County libraries could have an endowment of over $550,000. The endowment fund will be administered by the Wyoming Community Foundation.
