CHECK OUT PERIOD
All items will be checked out for three (3) weeks, including periodicals and audiovisual materials. Exceptions to this rule are interlibrary loan, 30 days or the length of time allotted by the lending library and AV equipment, 1 day. Patrons may request an extended period of time for extenuating reasons. This does not include interlibrary loan items. No overdue fines are charged on library materials.

RENEWAL
Materials cannot be renewed if they are on hold for another patron. Materials may be renewed 2 times with the following exceptions: AV equipment, no renewals; and On the Fly, 1 renewal. Interlibrary loan can be renewed once unless otherwise specified by the lending library.

LOST BOOKS
If a patron loses a book or other material belonging to the library, they will be charged the list price replacement cost of the book. If a patron pays for an item which is later found, no refund will be made. The book is considered the patron’s. If, in the librarian’s judgment, the book is irreplaceable or very valuable, a refund will be made. Payment for replacement is expected, except for some comparable paperbacks, which may be accepted in lieu of payment at the branch or children’s librarian’s discretion.

DAMAGED BOOKS
If a patron damages a book or other material beyond reasonable wear and tear and the item is found to be unusable by the branch or children’s librarian the patron will be charged the list price replacement cost of the item.

OVERDUE RESTRICTIONS
Once a patron has an item that is 6 weeks overdue or lost books, that patron may not check out materials until the monies owed are paid or the items returned.

PERIODICAL CHECKOUT
Checkout of a current issue of a periodical will be allowed at Cokeville and LaBarge, and Alpine. Kemmerer, Star Valley and Thayne will leave the current issues of the periodical on display for use in the library.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN
Interlibrary loan items are checked out for 30 days unless a specific date is provided by the lending library. One (1) renewal is possible on in-state items unless otherwise noted. A $2.00 fee will be assessed for interlibrary loan items that are not picked up and checked-out by the patron.There are no renewals on items loaned from out of state libraries.
